Stat Wizard
Statistical graphs can be generated and printed based upon user-defined
criteria via the Stat Wizard tool. The Stat Wizard is the most robust,
colorful, efficient and user-friendly module in the GradeBook. The user
can generate color-coded graphs and charts to analyze the academic and
attendance performance of individual, as well as the entire class. It
is so versatile that it can be used to graphically represent statistical
information such as standard deviation, class average, number of students
above or equal to the class average, and number of students below the
class average.
Report Wizard
Reports can be generated and printed based upon user-defined criteria
via the Report Wizard tool. The Report Wizard is an easy to use tool
that allows you to set the properties and contents of a report. The user
can choose which information he or she would like to report on, and exclude
undesired information. Reporting can be as simple as printing a class
roster for attendance checking, or be more complicated as printing student
and student academic performance across several classes for student academic
evaluation.
Database Portability
This the most essential feature for teachers who have to move from place
to place and carry their workload with them wherever they go. Databases
can be easily transferred onto a physical media in order to work on
it at another location, and possibly on a different machine. This is
useful when the user wants to retire to the luxury of his or her home
settings without giving up the efficiency and convenience of using
the GradeBook. Simply transfer the database into a physical media of
sorts and transfer it to your machine at home.
Database Integrity
The Database Integrity is reportedly the most useful utilities for teachers
on the go. Users prefer to be mobile, and often take work home or to
other locations now have a sure fire way to check their work and ensure
that they are always working with the most current version. This robust
utility is a fail-safe way of overriding the most current changes to
your GradeBook.
Customable User Interface
The feature was developed under the premise of our knowledge that users
have their own styles and preferences when it comes to their work area.
Background color, font type, size and style and other characteristics
of the GradeBook can be set user’s own specific preferences.
No need to be satisfied with one dreary and boring color. Set GradeBook
according to your favorite schemes, or change it constantly. The choice
is yours!
Information Control
The user is given full control over the information displayed in the
GradeBook. Apart from the default first and last names of students, users
can set other student information (such as ID number, email address,
postal address) to be displayed in GradeBook. Assignment information,
such as assignment due dates, assignment labels and objectives, and course
information can also be changed at the click of the button.
Grading System
GradeBook displays students’ information based on the category
of assignments. Foe example, one user may want to track information on
quizzes, homework and examinations. These are displayed on different
spreadsheets. However, the user has the option of consolidating all these
categories of assignments and displaying the information on a single
spreadsheet. All GradeBook requires is the entry of the points allocated
to each student. It does the rest of the difficult work. It continuously
calculates the total scores of students in assignments to date, a feature
which can be turned on or off at will. It can also assign letter grades
and student relative positions (according to best performance) to students
based on user-defined settings.
Database Backup
GradeBook offers the cautious user a means of protecting him or herself.
The database can be set up to perform automatic back ups of you work,
or manually backed up to ensure that you always have a latest version
for contingency purposes. Within the backup module, GradeBook can be
set to automatically perform backups on a daily, weekly and monthly
basis at a specified time. Also there is the ability to restore a previously
backed up database if the need arises.
